What changed.

Formwork 1.0 is out. It is a form builder that treats your work as something worth keeping: every edit is autosaved, every publish is a numbered version, and every answer is checked against the form as it was when the respondent saw it.

Building

• Drafts and versions. Edit freely; nothing goes live until you publish. Compare a draft with what is live, browse past versions, and restore any of them.
• 22 question types, from short text and multiple choice to ranking, sliders, choice grids, file upload, signature and address.
• Logic on every question type. Show-if rules, page routing and calculated fields, with the same engine running in the builder preview and for respondents.
• Quiz mode with answer keys, points and instant or delayed feedback.
• Themes. Colours, fonts, corner radius, cover images and logos, in light, dark or system mode.
• Templates and a question bank so you rarely start from a blank page.

Collecting

• Save and resume. Respondents can leave and come back to the same answers.
• One-question-at-a-time mode, a welcome screen and custom ending pages.
• Sharing by link, QR code, embed, or a custom address. Set closing dates, response limits and passwords.
• Sign in with KingsChat, alongside email and password, magic links and two-factor authentication.

Understanding

• Results as a table, one response at a time, or summary charts.
• Insights for drop-off by question, devices and sources, and cross-tabs.
• Exports to CSV, Excel and JSON, plus scheduled exports and a public results link.
• Webhooks and a REST API with signed deliveries and retries.

Teams and control

• Workspaces with roles, comments and live presence on shared forms.
• An audit log, GDPR export and deletion tools, and per-form access controls.

Free covers real forms with drafts and save-and-resume. Pro adds logic, uploads, the full results toolkit and custom addresses. Team adds roles, scheduled exports and unlimited version history. Everything is listed on the pricing page, and drafts are never locked on any plan.

• Docs with categories, a search box that filters as you type, and previous and next links on every article. The API pages mirror the REST reference.
• Changelog with a link per entry and an RSS feed.
• Roadmap where signed-in people can vote on planned and in-progress work and send a request. New requests are read by the team before they appear.
• Comparisons with Google Forms, Typeform, Tally and Jotform. Each one lists its sources, the date it was checked, and where the other tool is the better pick.
• Templates gallery you can browse without an account.
• A live status page for the database, file storage and background jobs.

Everything is server-rendered, has a skip link, works with the keyboard, and follows your light or dark setting.
